This Week in CTP – Tobacco Control Resources & Tobacco Retail Inspection Program

CTP recently updated the Break the Chain of Tobacco Addiction Retailer Education Campaign self-mailer. The self-mailer provides retailers with an easy-to-read summary of the federal tobacco laws, as well as CTP contact information. It is available in English and Spanish and can be downloaded or ordered free through our online clearinghouse. Visit www.fda.gov/BreakTheChain for more retailer education resources and to learn more about federal tobacco regulations and guidance.

As part of ongoing efforts to expand our Tobacco Retail Inspection Program, CTP recently awarded six additional tobacco retail inspection contracts to Guam, Idaho, Montana, Northern Mariana Islands, Puerto Rico, and South Carolina. CTP now contracts with 44 states and territories to conduct inspections and expects additional awards to be made in the future.

Did you know that CTP hosts hour-long webinars to help retailers comply with federal tobacco regulations? You can view past webinars focusing on topics such as Substantial Equivalence Reports, Warning Letters, and CTP's Domestic Manufacturing Inspection Program.
