The FAA's National Wildlife Strike Database experienced an issue during a
a recent Server upgrade in the Enterprise Data Center. As a result,
wildlife strikes reported between the dates of March 15, 2016 and March 21, 2016
are irrecoverable and need to be re-submitted.
If you knowingly submitted a strike report via the online reporting form between March 15, 2016 and March 21, 2016,
please submit a new report and indicate in
Box 21 Remarks that
This report is being submitted in place of a previous
report that was submitted between March 15, 2016 and March 21,2016.
FAA Wildlife Strike Database
The FAA Wildlife Strike Database contains records of reported wildlife strikes since 1990. Strike reporting is voluntary. Therefore, this database only represents the information we have received from airlines, airports, pilots, and other sources.
