The U.S. Census Bureau is holding an audio news conference to release new details about Asian-owned firms. Nationwide, the number of Asian-owned businesses increased 24 percent between 1997 and 2002.

Information on Asian-owned businesses is being released for selected counties, metro areas and cities; it also includes the number of firms, sales and receipts, and firms with paid employees by type of business. Reporters are invited to participate by telephone.
