Draft Change 19 to AC 150/5300-13, Airport Design (posted 06/29/2012)
Establishes uniform standards for the siting and designation of parachute landing areas. We will incorporate the final version of Change 19 to the current Airport Design AC, AC 150/5300-13, into the final version of AC 150/5300-13A, which we plan to publish by September 30, 2012.

Provides guidance on airport terminal and landside wayfinding, signing, and graphics. This draft is a substantial rewrite. It incorporates the recommendations and guidelines developed under Airport Cooperative Research Program (ACRP) Report 52, Wayfinding and Signing Guidelines for Airport Terminals and Landside, completed in 2011.

Draft AC 150/5345-42G, Specification for Airport Light Bases, Transformer Housings, Junction Boxes, and Accessories (posted 06/22/2012)
Contains the specifications for airport light bases, transformer housings, junction boxes, and accessories. This AC is not intended to be a compilation of currently available product designs. Instead, it provides the basic standard requirements for critical dimensions and performance requirements to which all manufacturers must demonstrate compliance. This draft prohibits exothermic welds on galvanized steel light bases, introduces coated steel fasteners per Engineering Brief 83, updates the torque test for L-868 light bases, and updates websites and documents listed in Section 2. See Paragraph 5, Principal Changes, for a complete list of changes in this draft.

Draft AC 150/5300-19, Airport Data and Information Program (posted 06/06/2011)
Provides general guidance and information for airport authorities in the collection and management of data describing the physical infrastructure, characteristics, and services of their airport. Describes new process allowing airport operators to manage their data within the FAA’s Airports Geographic Information System (Airports GIS). Also describes how and when airports are inspected to ensure conformance with standards and applicability and currency of the published airport data. Final document will cancel AC 150/5200-35A, Submitting the Airport Master Record in Order to Activate a New Airport.
