2012 Government Transportation Forum
The second annual Government Transportation Forum, took place March 20-22, 2012, in Bethesda, MD. The Forum focused on the "whole of government" transportation solutions and GSA’s service commitment to customers by leveraging technology to increase data driven management practices. The three day event provided opportunities for collaboration between industry and federal agencies through educational sessions, networking, and keynote speakers.
Highlighted was the Center for Transportation Management’s modernized electronic, end-to-end transportation management system, TransPort Integrator and PayPort Express, which streamlines the freight delivery ordering process, shortens the payment cycle and is data driven to enhance strategic sourcing. Sustainability, policy and international shipping were also addressed.
