Army
Army Continuing Education System (ACES) The ACES website provides information on education programs and services offered to Soldiers and their families.
Army Emergency Relief (AER) AER is a private, nonprofit organization whose sole mission is to help Soldiers and their dependents. AER funds are made available to provide emergency financial assistance to Soldiers (active duty and retired) and their dependents when there is a valid need. AER provides scholarship programs for spouses and dependents of Soldiers.
Army National Guard Education Center The Army National Guard Education Center provides National Guard Soldiers and families with information on benefit eligibility for federal and state programs, financial aid, and education resources and tools.
Marine Corps
Marine Corps Lifelong Learning The Marine Corps Lifelong Learning site provides information on the various education programs and services available to Marines and their families, contact information for individual Education Centers, and links to financial aid for education.
Navy-Marine Corps Relief Society (NMCRS) The Navy-Marine Corps Relief Society is a private, nonprofit organization that provides financial, educational, and other assistance to Sailors, Marines, eligible family members, and survivors when in need. Services provided include emergency financial assistance, budget counseling, visiting nurses, and emergency financial assistance to qualifying Marines in the form of a low-interest loan. NMCRS provides interest-free loans and need-based scholarships for family members of Sailors and Marines.
Navy
Navy College Program (NCP) The NCP provides opportunities for Sailors to earn college degrees by providing academic credit for Navy training, work experience, and off-duty education. The NCP website lists links to education counselors, financial grants, and loans. It also provides information on the Servicemembers Opportunity College Navy (SOCNAV).
Navy-Marine Corps Relief Society (NMCRS) The Navy-Marine Corps Relief Society is a private, nonprofit organization that provides financial, educational, and other assistance to Sailors, Marines, eligible family members, and survivors when in need. Air Force
Air Force Virtual Education Center (AFVEC) (Requires log-in) The AFVEC provides information on Airmen's education benefits and provides a one-stop-shop for all higher education needs.
Air Force Aid Society (AFAS) AFAS is a private, nonprofit organization that provides emergency financial assistance to Air Force members and their families, including interest-free loans, grants, or a combination of both. AFAS maintains an open door policy that encourages individuals to apply for assistance when they feel an emergency situation exists. AFAS offers grants to selected children of Air Force service members through the General Henry H. Arnold Education Grant Program and provides partial tuition assistance to spouses of active duty Airmen who accompany their service members to overseas locations.
Coast Guard
United States Coast Guard (USCG) Institute The USCG Institute website provides links to education opportunities and services, financial aid for education, and required forms for members of the USCG and their families.
Coast Guard Mutual Assistance (CGMA) CGMA is a private, nonprofit organization that provides financial assistance to members of the Coast Guard community during times of need. CGMA provides education grants and loans to Coast Guard families to assist them in pursuing their academic goals through post-secondary education.
