The mission of the Navy-Marine Corps Relief Society's (NMCRS) education programs is to assist eligible Sailors, Marines, and families pursue their academic goals by providing a source of education financing. Both scholarships and no-interest loan programs are available.
If you believe you are eligible for any of the following education programs, click on the link for additional information and the application form.
Offered to:
- Children (under age of 23) of active duty Sailors and Marines (including reservists serving on active duty over 90 days)
- Children (under age of 23) of retired Sailors and Marines
- Active duty Navy and Marine Corps spouses (residing within the United States)
For those Sailors or Marines participating in the:
- Marine Enlisted Commissioning Education Program (MECEP)
- Medical Enlisted Commissioning Program (MECP)
Offered to:
- Children (under age of 23) of a Sailor or Marine who died while serving on active duty or after retirement
- Unremarried Navy and Marine Corps spouses of a service member who died while serving on active duty or after retirement
- For combat wounded Sailors or Marines that served in Iraq or Afghanistan and are pursuing a degree leading to license and certification as a teacher.
Offered to:
- Active duty Navy or Marine Corps qualified divers
- Children (under the age of 23) of active duty or retired Navy or Marine Corps qualified divers
- Spouses of active duty or retired Navy or Marine Corps divers
- For active duty Navy or Marine Corps spouses who are stationed with the service member outside the 50 United States
