![2010 Census: Be Counted.](img/becounted150.png)
The 2010 Census - a count of everyone living in the United States - is fast approaching! Census questionnaires will be mailed or delivered to residential addresses in March 2010, and to on-campus housing in April and May 2010.
College students living away from home should not be counted on their parents' questionnaires. People should be counted where they live and sleep most of the year, so students living in on-campus housing will receive their questionnaires there.
Required by the U.S. Constitution once every 10 years, the decennial census is a snapshot of everyone residing in the United States, regardless of age, race, or citizenship. Your participation is vital to ensure a complete and accurate count for your community in 2010.

Completing the 2010 Census Questionnaire: Easy, Safe, and Important
EASY: Every residence will receive a short questionnaire that is simple and fast to complete and return.
SAFE: By law, the Census Bureau cannot share an individual's answers with anyone, including federal, state, and local agencies.
IMPORTANT: Billions of dollars in federal funds are awarded annually to states and communities based on census data for transportation, public safety, medical care, and road repairs. Census data affect college tuition grant and loan programs, and inform important research done by college faculty, students, librarians, and community leaders. Furthermore, census data affect your representation in Congress.
