Evaluation of Community Healthy Marriage Initiatives (CHMI), 2003-2013

The Evaluation of Community Healthy Marriage Initiatives (CHMI) includes: (1) implementation evaluations of a set of demonstrations authorized through section 1115 by the Office of Child Support Enforcement (OCSE) and (2) an impact evaluation utilizing two rounds of data collection in three program and three matched comparison communities to assess differences in changes on a range of measures. The demonstration programs in the impact study utilize community partnerships to increase access to healthy relationship and marriage education services for multiple segments of the community and varied media strategies to increase awareness about their programs and mission. The evaluation is being led by RTI.
