Association for Health Care Documentation Integrity (AHDI) The AHDI was established in 1978 as part of an effort to achieve recognition for the medical transcription profession. Developed in 2007, “Military Medical Transcription: A Career That Moves You” was created to attract military spouses into the medical transcription profession. The program focuses on opportunities to work remotely, helping to address the challenges of the mobile military lifestyle.

CareerOneStop This Department of Labor-sponsored website provides career resources and workforce information to job seekers, students, businesses, and workforce professionals to foster talent development in a global economy. It also provides content specifically designed for military spouses including employment resources, education and training help, and relocation information.

DoD Priority Placement Programs (PPP)  The PPP offers employment preference to DoD employees as well as to military spouses.  Priority Programs apply to both civil service and non-appropriated fund (NAF) positions. The PPP is an internal DoD program that assists displaced employees in finding employment. The program was designed to provide the maximum opportunity for employment for those who are eligible.  The PPP includes a number of different programs, including one specifically geared towards helping military spouses find jobs after a move. It is called the DoD Military Spouse Preference Program, or Program "S." Program "S" ensures that military spouses receive preference for certain competitive service positions in the United States and its territories. This program was intended to lessen the impact on the career of the military spouse when a permanent change of duty station (PCS) move is required.

INOVA Health System  Inova Health System is Northern Virginia's leading not-for-profit healthcare provider, serving more than 1 million people each year and governed by a volunteer board of community members.  Military to Medicine, a partnership with the INOVA Health System, promotes access to training and healthcare jobs for the spouses of active duty service members in the healthcare field.

Job Fair Schedule  The Army Career and Alumni Program (ACAP) provide an up-to-date listing of job fairs located in the continental United States (CONUS) and outside of the continental United States (OCONUS).  The listing of job fairs provides dates, locations, relevant websites for the job fairs, and points of contact.

MilitaryINSTALLATIONS MilitaryINSTALLATIONS is a searchable directory of worldwide installation and state-related military information, programs, and services. It provides easy access to fast facts, articles, website resource directories, photos, contact information, major units, weather, and maps. With this resource, users can quickly find relevant information about any installation or military resources in their state. Contact information for installation family member employment assistance offices can be found under the program or service "Employment".

Military OneSource  This site provides information and resources to help balance work and family life. Consultants are available twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week by phone, online, or via email offering personalized support to any service service member, DoD civilian personnel designated as Civilian Expeditionary Workforce, or family member. Military OneSource offers twelve free in-person counseling sessions per person, per issue.  For those unable to attend face-to-face counseling, Military OneSource arranges telephone and online consultations.

With regard to employment, Military OneSource can help identify local resources, perform a local search for employment agencies that specialize in personal career interests, find local newspapers that advertise job opportunities, and provide lists of online websites that describe local job opportunities.  The website also includes articles and resources related to finding a job or career building.

MilSpouse eMentor Program This program, created by the Academy of Women in partnership with the United States Chamber of Commerce, provides a virtual career building network for military spouses. Mentors and spouses can register and connect online, creating a national and international support pipeline that extends far beyond the spouse's current duty station. A wide range of participation levels is offered,  from forming one-to-one ongoing mentoring relationships to simply responding to or posting questions in group discussion forums.

National Military Family Association Spouse Employment Resources  The National Military Family Association is a nonprofit organization committed to strengthening and protecting the families of the men and women currently serving, retired, wounded or fallen. It provides families of the Army, Navy, Marine Corps, Air Force, Coast Guard, and Commissioned Corps of the USPHS and NOAA with information, works to get them the benefits they deserve, and offers programs that improve their lives.

Operation RE/MAX  Operation RE/MAX was created in 2006 to help military spouses, veterans, and transitioning personnel discover, train for, and find successful careers in the real estate industry.
