Klobuchar Introduces Bill to Help Soldiers with Student Loans

Senator Amy Klobuchar wants to make sure members of the military aren't burdened with the cost of college while serving overseas.
She introduced a bill that would temporarily stop interest from building on their student loans while they serve in places like Iraq and Afghanistan. Currently, this benefit only applies to loans given out after October 1, 2008, but Klobuchar's bill would apply for all college loans.
Klobuchar says this could save service members several hundred dollars for a year-long deployment.
