Mission

Develop Joint Force capabilities across US Africa Command (USAFRICOM) through individual, staff, and collective training in order to sustain operational readiness and theater security cooperation (TSC) in concert with other U.S. Government agencies and international partners.

Vision

Major Functions:

Increase AFRICOM readiness through development, implementation and use of CJCS Joint Training System and execution of Joint Training and Exercise Program (JTEP) policy and supporting programs

Develop/coordinate training, education and exercise strategies for individual/staff/collective audiences

AFRICOM proponent for joint force development, operational planning, joint doctrine, education and professional development, training exercises, readiness, and assessment

Office of Primary Responsibility (OPR) for joint training, education, exercises and assessments; command OPR for training transformation

Optimize joint, interagency, combined, multinational, and intergovernmental teaming opportunities to address operational issues.
