Mark Harris, (right) commanding officer of the guided missile cruiser USS Vella Gulf, and members of the boarding team aboard the guided-missile cruiser USS Vella Gulf (CG 72) explain equipment used during boarding evolutions to Ukrainian Navy Capt. Andrew Rhyzenko during a tour of the ship. Vella Gulf, homeported out of Norfolk, Va., is currently conducting theater security cooperation and maritime security operations in the U.S. 6th Fleet area of responsibility.
