 Planting through weedcloth

Weed cloth is cut, holes dug, with roses and strawberries are being  planted.  (Low-tech rocks are used to hold everything in place.)  Plastic drip lines are connected to ranch irrigation.  In new plantings, water must be kept at field capacity for the season.

An area of hillside with a new planting that will need some hand weeding during the year.

And in ‘Year 2, it looks fine.
