About the iCollege

To meet the ever changing demands of government and business, the National Defense University Information Resources Management College (NDU iCollege) is dedicated to ensuring that today’s and tomorrow’s leaders are equipped and ready to tackle challenges that the world community faces; Information Technology and Emerging Technology, CyberSecurity, Information Assurance, Crisis Management, CIO/CFO skill sets, IT-Project Management, and much more.

The NDU iCollege is the Department of Defense’s (DoD) pre-eminent education institution for information technology leadership, and is open to DoD military and civilians, federal agency, U.S. industry, and international defense ministry students who meet the requirements*. We are committed to provide unparalleled education for leaders who will be responsible for employing information and information technology for strategic advantage. Because of this -- our mission at the NDU iCollege is to prepare leaders to direct the information component of national power by leveraging information and information technology for strategic advantage.

The NDU iCollege offers a dynamic range of courses and programs to develop strategic leaders for the Information Age. Approximately 50 courses are offered multiple times throughout the year, seven graduate certificate programs, and the College’s new Government Information Leader (GIL) Masters Degree of Science program are available. The NDU iCollege also partners with more than 40 universities and colleges across the United States for credit acceptance into several Master’s and Doctoral Degree programs.

In addition to graduate-level courses, the NDU iCollege offers all courses for career professional development and welcomes students to enroll without seeking a certificate or academic credit. This flexibility offers an excellent learning and networking opportunity. Most classes, workshops, presentations, seminars and events have a mix of government, military, private industry and international students; who share knowledge, experience and best practices. Also, for the last several years, NDU iCollege has hosted conferences and symposia at the campus and around the world which are open to the public on current IT leadership topics, such as Virtual Worlds, Social Media and CyberSecurity.

*Students must be at or above middle management level/experience. Those individuals in government or the military must be at or above the GS/GM-12, 04, rank. Private sector students must be sponsored by a government agency. All individuals applying for courses must possess a Bachelor’s Degree. Courses at the NDU iCollege are on campus at Fort Lesley J.
