This guide was compiled by the International Trade Division to offer information on international import requirements, such as licensing, labeling, and taxation considerations, for various countries for beer, wine, and distilled spirits. The information contained in this guide has been sourced from foreign governmental agencies and organizations and the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Foreign Agricultural Service (FAS), and possibly from additional external sources. Consequently, international conditions also change frequently, so this document may not always reflect the most recent requirements. An exporter should verify the requirements for importing into a particular foreign country before commencing trade.
