Yue Zhao

Yue Zhao is a CNST/UMD Postdoctoral Researcher in the Energy Research Group.  She received a B. S. in Material Physics from the University of Science and Technology of China and a Ph. D. in Physics from Columbia University.   Her doctoral research focused on designing and fabricating mesoscopic electronic devices to study quantum transport in monolayer and bilayer graphene.  Yue is working with Nikolai Zhitenev to develop techniques for fabricating graphene-based devices and for investigating their microscopic properties using both transport and scanning tunneling microscopy measurements.
