Russell Hajdaj

Russell Hajdaj is the CNST Safety Officer and Property Manager.  He initially joined NIST as a Facility Manager working for the Electronics and Electrical Engineering Laboratory (EEEL), where he helped establish a multi-user Microfabrication Semiconductor Process Facility, and later provide expert support for the design and commissioning of the NanoFab cleanroom.  Prior to beginning his current assignment in 2009, Russell was a member of the CNST NanoFab staff, serving as the NanoFab Safety Representative, providing expert tool training, support and process development for wafer bonding and wafer dicing, and assisting with cleanroom maintenance and operations.  He was awarded the EEEL John Mayo-Wells Safety award in 2005, and a Department of Commerce Silver Medal Award for meritorious service in 2006.  Russell has had extensive safety training, and has broad experience with safety codes and standards from OSHA, NFPA, BOCA, and SemiS2.  He currently serves as the CNST’s lead Safety Representative, assisting with management and oversight of all aspects of the Safety Program, and continues to provide NanoFab user orientation and safety training.  As the CNST Property Manager, he also manages and maintains CNST’s chemicals, precious metals, and property.
