Tokyo, June, 1971: Famed combat photographer David Douglas Duncan points out details on a photo from his exhibition, "War without Heroes," to Kara Van Der Slikke and First Secretary C.H. Van Der Sloot of the Royal Netherlands Embassy at the Keio Plaza Hotel's Nikon Salon. In addition to his coverage of World War II (as a U.S. Marine) and the Korean and Vietnam Wars, Duncan is known for his photographic chronicles of artist Pablo Picasso at work and for the first full-color study of the inside of the Kremlin.
