An Air Force Reserve boom operator performs the important task of refueling an aircraft midflight. The boom operator controls equipment that connects two aircraft so one can transfer fuel to the other. Not only does the boom operator work on fueling, but he or she also trains as a loadmaster and makes sure the cargo on the plane is stored and tied down safely.
