Rota Fire Staff

Mission:
Provide Fire and Emergency Services for Sixth Fleet, Air Mobility Command, and Allied customers.

We accomplish our mission by:

Customer Service First
Providing fire fighting, rescue, and related emergency services in support of airfield and sea port operations, naval station industrial complex, military family housing, and our host nation neighbors.
Delivering the highest quality fire fighter proficiency training, health and safety, and DOD certification
Providing fire prevention inspections, public fire safety education, construction design review, and flight line fire extinguisher maintenance services.

Operations
Operations division provides 24 hour non-interrupted fire and emergency services to a category 4 airfield, NAVSTA Rota and tenant commands, family housing and the city of Rota.

Training
Training division provides quality training to our department in all aspects of firefighting, providing higher education by teaching college level courses ensuring personnel have an opportunity to accomplish undergraduate degrees. The department also provides opportunities to personnel to further there training with DOD and IFSAC certifications; HAZMAT Technicians, Rescue Technicians etc.

Prevention
Fire prevention division provides building inspections to NAVSTA Rota and tenant commands. Providing public education in fire safety topics and fire prevention training like fire extinguisher, fire warden etc. Providing accurate engineering of fire protection and alarm systems on new building projects. As well as assigning hot work permits to ensure a fire safe community.
