The Mobile Aerosol Observing System is an instrument suite available for deployments with either ARM Mobile Facility and/or the ARM fixed sites. This system is also capable of being deployed independently in a field campaign.

Comprised of separate 20-ft containers, the Mobile Aerosol Observing System has one for aerosol and one for chemistry measurements, with integrated data acquisition systems, instrument controls, ventilation systems, and air pumps. Because of the unit’s portable nature, all instrument racks are shock mounted, and a small workbench is available for onsite maintenance and repair work.

The following instruments are part of the suite. The Mobile AOS is similar to the standard ARM AOS and the data and documentation are available through the AOS web page.
