Woodall Visits with Apalachee High School Students

Winder, GA – On Monday, February 21, Congressman Rob Woodall (R-GA-07) hosted another installment of his Student Town Hall series at Barrow County’s Apalachee High School.

“These young folks will have to find ways to solve the problems that previous generations have created through over-promising.  We need students to be informed, and we need to listen to what they have to say,” Woodall said.

Woodall discussed his current legislative activities in Washington, DC, as well as issues on the horizon of which he felt they should be aware.  Most of the visit consisted of an open Q&A forum.

“I appreciate the Apalachee students’ desire to take part in a legislative process that ultimately affects them,” Woodall said.  “My message to them is: be involved.  Every dollar we spend ‘in their best interest’ is a dollar that we borrow from them today and they will have to pay back tomorrow.  The sooner they engage in the process, the better off they will be.”
