The Chicago region includes Wisconsin, Illinois and Indiana

Welcome to the Census Bureau’s Chicago region. Our office is responsible for all data collection, data dissemination, and geographic operations, for the states of Wisconsin, Illinois and Indiana. The Chicago Region's boundary will change to include Minnesota, Iowa, Missouri, Arkansas and Michigan effective 1 January 2013 under the Field Realignment as shown on Map of New Regional Office Structure [PDF 632k]. During the transition, we remain committed to exceeding the high standards required by the Census Bureau as well as delivering excellent customer service.
