The Charlotte region includes Virginia, Kentucky, Tennessee, North Carolina, and South Carolina

As part of the Census Bureau Restructuring, the Charlotte Region is one of six regional offices that will close on 1 January 2013. States serviced by the Charlotte Region are being reassigned under the Field Realignment. The Atlanta Region (North Carolina, South Carolina) and the Philadelphia Region (Kentucky, Tennessee, and Virginia) will assume responsibility for data collection, data dissemination and geographic operations respectively as shown on Map of New Regional Office Structure [PDF 632k]. During the transition, we remain committed to exceeding the high standards required by the Census Bureau as well as delivering excellent customer service.
