Robert Zarnetske - Regional Administrator, New England Region

Robert Zarnetske was appointed in December of 2010 as GSA’s regional administrator for New England.

Zarnetske served as the acting assistant director of the Bureau of Transportation Statistics at the U.S. Department of Transportation during the Clinton administration. He was a legislative assistant to U.S. Sen. Christopher J. Dodd. He also served as assistant city manager and city manager for Norwich, Conn. He was an elected alderman in Norwich and served as an appointed member of the Connecticut Public Transportation Commission. Most recently, Zarnetske was an attorney in private practice in Connecticut and an instructor at the University of New Haven’s Master of Public Administration program.

Zarnetske received a Bachelor of Arts from Eastern Connecticut State University. He earned a Master of Arts from the University of Connecticut, a Master of Education from Harvard University and a Doctor of Jurisprudence from the University of Oregon.
