Meals at Training Events

For Aurora programs, NIC will provide pre-paid breakfast and evening dinner meals during the training. Participants must purchase their own lunches during the training, and NIC will not be able to reimburse those costs.

If you require a special diet, you must request it before the training. Please also notify the front desk staff at the hotel upon check-in of any special dietary needs.

If you will miss a meal at the hotel, please notify the wait staff ahead of time.

Lodging and the two meals per day at the hotel are a package deal. While NIC strongly prefers that you stay at that hotel (due to the benefits of networking with other participants outside class hours), if you choose to stay elsewhere, you will be responsible for paying for your own lodging and meals. If you choose to stay elsewhere and pay for your own lodging and meals, you must advise the Registrar or Assistant Registrar before the training.

NIC does not pay for the two meals identified above for participants from federal agencies, nor for other "pay own way" participants. In those cases, participants (or their agencies) must pay for their lodging and meals and NIC cannot reimburse them. Specific logistical information (including costs of lodging and meals) will be sent to these participants along with their invitation letters, if selected.
