Research Interests:
Biography:Dr. Nadir Faradzhev is a guest researcher at the Sensor Science Division focusing on surface physics and chemistry related to degradation of optics for EUV Lithography. In 2007 he was appointed to a Research Associate position in the Physics Department of Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey. From 1993 to 2001, while an employee of AF Ioffe Physico Technical Institute, St.Petersburg, Russia he carried out spectroscopy and atomic structure studies of low dimensional clusters with abrupt and reactive interfaces formed on semiconducting and metallic surfaces. From 2001 to 2005 Dr. Faradzhev worked in the Laboratory for Surface Modification, Rutgers University where he conducted fundamental research on the interaction of molecular adsorbates with ordered surfaces focusing on thermo- and radiation-induced chemistry of organohalides on metal surfaces and in water ice matrices. From 2005 to 2007 he was a Scientific Engineer at TNO Science and Industry in Holland solving technological challenges in EUV Lithography and organizing the Surface Laboratory to meet industrial needs. The general area of his expertise is experimental physics and chemistry at surfaces. Awards:
