General Resources

Air Force Aid Society Respite Care - This is a respite program for active duty Air Force families with referred to the Air Force Aid Society by the Air Force Family Advocacy Program or Exceptional Family Member Program. The program is based on financial need.

Easter Seals - Easter Seals offers summer camps and respite care weekends.

TRICARE's Extended Care Health Option -  Find an overview of the ECHO program, eligibility and coverage, cost-shares and other requirements.

The Arc answers questions on respite care - This is a good overview of respite care and how to look for a care giver.

ARCH National Respite Care Network - The mission of the ARCH National Respite Network and Resource Center is to assist and promote the development of quality respite and crisis care programs; to help families locate respite and crisis care services in their communities; and to serve as a strong voice for respite in all forums.

Armed Services YMCA Respite Care Program - The Department of Defense (DoD) has now authorized YMCAs in all 50 States as locations for the implementation of this program. A list of licensed YMCA child care centers that are eligible to participate may be found on the YMCA website.
