Medicaid - A Primer - The Kaiser Family Foundation primer provides a basic overview of the Medicaid program, including a discussion of the program's impact, enrollment, services covered, and financing.

Medicaid: State by State Fact Sheets - The National Association of Children's Hospitals and Related Institutions (NACHRI), together with the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), have produced a series of one-page, state specific fact sheets about the issue of children and Medicaid. Medicaid provides health insurance for one in every five American children, making it the largest children's health program in the country. We have provided these fact sheets to candidates for Congress and Governor and hope that protecting and improving the Medicaid program for children will become part of their campaign platforms and legislative agendas.

Social Security

Benefit Eligibility Screening Tool - The Benefit Eligibility Screening Tool (BEST) is a tool that you can use to find out if you could be eligible for benefits from any of the programs Social Security administers. This tool will give you eligibility information based on answers you give to the questions on the following pages; however, BEST is not an application for benefits and will not give you an estimate of benefit amounts. BEST does not know, nor ask for, your name or Social Security number. BEST does not access your personal Social Security records.

WIC Overseas - Department of Defense Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) - Overseas Program is established to provide supplemental food and nutrition education for eligible personnel serving in overseas locations.

WIC Works - The WIC target population are low-income, nutritionally at risk: Pregnant women (through pregnancy and up to 6 weeks after birth or after pregnancy ends). One in four new mothers participate in WIC.
