Want to Get Through Security Faster?

Some checkpoints at Reagan National now feature an exclusive queue for "TSA Pre-Check" which is operated by the Transportation Security Administration (TSA). Here are ways you may be eligible to participate:

  • Certain airline's frequent flyers can log in to their airline's on-line profile to opt-in to "TSA Pre-Check." Check with your airline to confirm eligibility.
  • Active Members of the U.S. Military can present their "CAC" card at the checkpoint for access to the faster "Pre-Check" screening lane. No special enrollment is required.
  • Other passengers participating in Custom and Border Protection (CBP) "Global Entry" are also eligible. Simply enter your trusted traveler PASS ID information when booking airline travel. Click here to learn more and to apply.

Notice - Rate Change in Ecomomy Parking Lot

The daily rate for parking in the Economy lot increased to $14 on September 5, 2012. Rates in the parking garages remain unchanged. Click here to view all parking rates. Parking enhancements are presently underway in all public parking facilities across the airport. Click here for details.

Tree Maintenance Work Near Reagan National

Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport will be performing tree maintenance work in and around Gravelly Point and Roaches Run in the coming weeks. The purpose of the work is to trim or remove trees that potentially impact the flight paths of aircraft arriving or leaving the Airport in accordance with Federal Aviation Regulations. Work will be performed during the daylight hours. The large majority of trees near the airport will not be affected by this maintenance. Click here for details.

Electric Vehicle Charging Stations in Daily Garage B

Four electric vehicle charging stations installed in Daily Parking Garage B are open for FREE usage as part of a pilot program. Each charging station can accommodate two vehicles, for a total of eight parking spaces. The spaces are conveniently located near the Terminal B walkway and the shuttle bus stop serving all terminals. Click here for more details.

Arts Program News

Exhibit at the Gallery Walk in Terminal A - The current exhibit, "The Art of the Diaspora" is a collection that mirrors the African experience through traditional artifacts and contemporary works and will be on display until the end of October 2012. The Gallery Walk is located in Terminal A between the Historic Lobby and the present-day ticketing lobby.

Overnight Runway Closure Times to Accomodate Airfield Project

A runway rehabilitation project has been underway at Reagan National. Runway 1/19 was commissioned on May 31; but installation of a new approach lighting system will continue during the overnight hours. Weather permitting, the runway will close periodically between 11:00am and 6am to accomodate work crews.

Volunteer at Your Local Airports!

There is a need for volunteers to work with Travelers Aid at Reagan National and Dulles International Airports. You can also choose to be a Mobile Guide, a new service in which you scout for travelers with questions and assist them.
