    FDA Announces Educational Forums

    The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is co-sponsoring two professional development opportunities that will be held in June.

    • FDA is co-sponsoring the 116th Annual Educational Conference of the Association of Food and Drug Officials, titled “Leading the Way to Building Global Integrated Food, Drug, and Medical Device Safety Systems,” to be held in Providence, Rhode Island, on June 2-6, 2012.  Deb Autor, FDA’s Deputy Commissioner for Global Regulatory Operations and Policy, will deliver the Glenn W. Kilpatrick Memorial Address during the Opening Session of the conference, and Associate Commissioner for Regulatory Affairs, Dara Corrigan will present the FDA Keynote.  Several other FDA officials will make presentations or take part in panel discussions.  For more information, go to the Association of Food and Drug Officials (AFDO) conference website disclaimer icon.

    • The FDA Dallas District Office is co-sponsoring the Food Allergen Workshop on June 19, 2012, at Oklahoma State University in Stillwater, Oklahoma.  The workshop will provide information on food allergens and how manufacturers can control these allergens in processing.  For more information, go to Oklahoma State University Food Allergen Workshop disclaimer icon.
