2.0 Site Status Summary

This site was added in anticipation of NARM Final Rule. This site is being evaluated by the Kansas Department of Health Bureau of Environmental Remediation for potential soil and groundwater contamination related to residual sewer line contamination.

This site had undergone an extensive cleanup in the early eighties due to dumping radium contaminated solvents from aircraft instrument stripping operations down a basement groundwater well.

Technical and regulatory issues will be assessed when the KDHE Unified Focused Assessment Report is completed by BER.
