Nan is from Thomasville, Ga., and is a graduate of the University of Georgia, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in journalism. Although starting off as a reporter, she soon changed sides and has been with DVIDS from almost the beginning of the project. In 2005 Nan joined the team as the only Western Media Specialist. But after establishing the Western region, she assumed the position of the first Entertainment Media Specialist. During this position she worked closely with entertainment shows, production companies and touring entertainers. Her work has been seen on the Academy Awards, The Ellen DeGeneres show, American Idol, Live with Regis and Kelly, SuperNanny and more. Nan has now returned to the Western Region where she manages a team of media specialists.
