Success StoriesWho We AreTop WebsitesToolkit

Welcome to the Smart Communities Network Website. NCAT managed this website under contract to the US Department of energy until 2005. The website contains a variety of great resources, tools, links to articles and publications, and community success stories on a variety of topics, including community energy, green development, and sustainable business. Unfortunately, federal funding is no longer available to maintain this website, and many of the links and addresses are no longer current. However much of the basic information is still quite useful to communities, NCAT has decided to keep the site active even though it is no longer maintained.

However, we will continue to offer great resources, tools, links to articles and publications, and community success stories on a variety of topics from Community Energy, to Green Development, to Sustainable Business. We hope these resources will help you strengthen your local economy, improve and protect the quality of your local environment, enhance the quality of life in your community, and build towards a more sustainable future.
