Mexican man pleads guilty to being in the US illegally

BUFFALO, N.Y. — A Mexican man has pleaded guilty to a felony charge of illegal entry after having been already ordered deported on two prior occasions. This investigation is being conducted by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement's (ICE) Homeland Security Investigations (HSI).

Jose Antonio Hernandez-Sanchez, 35, of Mexico, was working in Wilson, N.Y., when officers with ICE's Enforcement and Removal Operations discovered that he was in the U.S. illegally. The defendant is a citizen of Mexico who had previously been deported to Mexico on two occasions.

The case is being prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Marie P. Grisanti, Western District of New York.
