Sept. 30, 2010 - ICE announces results of repatriation program

Mexican nationals apprehended along the Southwest border can voluntarily participate in the Mexican Interior Repatriation Program (MIRP) which allows them to return to their Mexican hometowns. This year, 23,384 Mexican citizens participated in the program. Full Story

Sept. 29, 2010 - ICE Secure Communities program now activated in all Texas counties

Every county in Texas has activated U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement's (ICE) Secure Communities program. Once an individual is booked by local law enforcement for a crime, his or her fingerprints are cross-referenced against a database of immigration records maintained by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. Sept. 28, 2010 - ICE arrests 78 convicted criminal aliens, fugitives and immigration violators throughout Colorado

U.S. Customs and Immigration Enforcement (ICE) agents launched a three-day enforcement operation in Colorado - the largest this year. The majority of individuals arrested had prior criminal convictions ranging from homicide to sexual crimes against children. Five were gang members, and 12 were immigration fugitives. Full Story

Sept. 28, 2010 - ICE and 16 law enforcement leaders announce new North Texas Trafficking Task Force

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and law enforcement officials gathered in Dallas, Texas on Sept. 28 to participate in a ribbon-cutting ceremony at the new Human Trafficking Center. They also announced the creation of the North Texas Trafficking Task Force (NTTTF). Full Story

Sept. 27, 2010 - US and Mexico collaboration leads to arrest of cartel leader

The Mexico City Border Enforcement Security Taskforce (BEST) executed an enforcement operation which resulted in the arrest of cartel members associated with the Sinaloa Federation's methamphetamine production operation. This organization smuggles narcotics from Mexico to the U.S. and bulk currency from the U.S. back to Mexico. Full Story
