Man pleads guilty to illegal re-entry after prior deportations

JACKSON, Miss. — A Mexican citizen pleaded guilty Tuesday to unauthorized re-entry of a previously deported aggravated felon, following an investigation by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement's (ICE) Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) and the Warren County Sheriff's Department.

HSI began investigating Reynaldo Garduza, 34, in October after receiving a request for assistance from the Warren County Sheriff's Department. Sheriff's deputies arrested Garduza following a traffic stop in Mississippi's Warren County. Garduza had previously been arrested on numerous occasions for criminal violations. He has been deported from the United States three times since 2000.

Garduza is scheduled to be sentenced June 5.
