Pennsylvania man indicted for drug possession

SCRANTON, Pa. — A Taylor, Pa., man has been indicted by a federal grand jury for possessing three different types of narcotics. The indictment stems from an investigation conducted by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement's (ICE) Homeland Security Investigations (HSI).

Cameron Jackson, 32, is charged with possession with the intent to distribute cocaine, crack cocaine and heroin. In December 2010, a search warrant was served at his residence, resulting in the seizure of drug paraphernalia, illegal drugs and drug proceeds.

"Once again our message is clear: if you're on the wrong side of the law dealing drugs, HSI will use all of its collective resources to bring you to justice," said John P. Kelleghan, special agent in charge of ICE HSI in Philadelphia.

HSI conducted the investigation with assistance from the FBI, Scranton Police Department and a joint alien gang task force.

If convicted, Jackson faces a maximum sentence of up to 20 years in prison and a $1,000,000 fine.
