 Brig. Gen. Jacqueline Van Ovost is Vice Commander, U.S. Air Force Expeditionary Center, Operating Location A, Travis Air Force Base, Calif. The Air Force Expeditionary Center is the Air Force's Center of Excellence for advanced expeditionary combat support training and education, while also providing direct oversight for en route and installation support, contingency response, and partner capacity building mission sets within the global mobility enterprise.

The EC provides administrative control for six wings and two groups within Air Mobility Command, to include the 87th Air Base Wing and the 621 Contingency Response Wing at Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, the 319th Air Base Wing at Grand Forks AFB, N.D.; the 515 Air Mobility Operations Wing at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, Hawaii; the 521 Air Mobility Operations Wing at Ramstein Air Base, Germany; the 628th Air Base Wing at Joint Base Charleston, S.C.; the 43rd Airlift Group at Pope Field, N.C.; and 627th Air Base Group at Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Wash. The Expeditionary Center also includes the Office of the Commandant, responsible for the Mobility Operations School, Expeditionary Operations School and Expeditionary Center Support Directorate.

Brig. Gen. Van Ovost was born in Arlington Heights, Ill., and grew up in Fort Pierce, Florida. She graduated from the U.S. Air Force Academy in 1988. Before her current assignment, Colonel Van Ovost was the Commander, 12th Flying Training Wing. She is a command pilot with more than 4,000 hours in several mobility aircraft including the C-32A, C-17A, C-141B, and KC-135R.
