Brig. Gen. James M. Mungenast is the mobilization assistant to the Director, Defense Intelligence Agency, Bolling Air Force Base, Washington, D.C.

General Mungenast was a distinguished graduate of the Reserve Officer Training Corps program at the University of Alabama. He has held a variety of positions throughout his military career, including individual mobilization augmentee to the Director, Missile and Space Intelligence Center, and to the Commander, National Air and Space Intelligence Center. He has also served as mobilization assistant to the Director of Intelligence, U.S. European Command. For more than 25 years, he served as a senior attorney for the Tennessee Valley Authority.
