Currently serving as the Director, Combined Air and Space Operations Center, Air Forces Central Command

Brigadier General James N. Post III is the Deputy Director of Operations, Plans, Requirements and Programs, Headquarters Pacific Air Forces, Joint Base Pearl Harbor Hickam, Hawaii. PACAF's primary mission is to provide ready air and space power to promote United States interests in the Asia-Pacific region during peacetime, through crisis and in war.

General Post entered the Air Force in 1983 after graduating from the U.S. Air Force Academy. He has served as an F-16 mission commander, joint staff officer, fighter squadron commander, air and space operations center commander, vice wing and twice as a fighter wing commander.

General Post is a command pilot with more than 4,800 flying hours, flying combat tours in support of Operations NORTHERN WATCH, SOUTHERN WATCH and IRAQI FREEDOM.
