Brig. Gen. John L. Dolan is the Deputy Director, Legislative Liaison, Office of the Secretary of the Air Force, the Pentagon, Washington, D.C. The directorate is the liaison between the Air Force and Congress on issues such as legislative and constituent inquiries, programs and weapons systems.

Brigadier General Dolan received his commission through the Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps program at the University of Northern Colorado, in 1986. He has held various squadron, wing and headquarters level positions in multiple overseas assignments to include 5 overseas tours, 3 of those remote tours. He instructed and commanded the U.S. Air Force F-16 Weapons School and deployed as Vice Commander, 332nd Air Expeditionary Wing, Joint Base Balad, Iraq. Additionally he served on the Joint Staff for warfighter requirements and as the Chief, Senate Legislative Liaison, Office of the Secretary of the Air Force. Prior to his current assignment, he was commander of the 8th Fighter Wing, Kunsan Air Base, Republic of Korea.

General Dolan is a command pilot with more than 3,700 flying hours, including more than 400 combat hours earned during operations Iraqi Freedom and Northern Watch.
