Brig. Gen. Richard B. Ford is mobilization assistant to the Vice Commander, Headquarters Air Force Reserve Command, Robins Air Force Base, Ga.

General Ford was commissioned through the Health Professions Early Commissioning Program. He entered active duty in 1972 and served for three years as Chief of Veterinary Services at Kadena Air Base, Japan. Subsequently, he served in both the Air Force Reserve and the Air National Guard as environmental health officer and public health officer. General Ford was appointed Commander of the Reserve's 916th Medical Squadron in 1991. In his civilian occupation, he is a Professor of Medicine at the College of Veterinary Medicine, North Carolina State University.
