- In order to pass the IST you must perform 2 pull-ups (male) or perform the flexed-arm hang for 12 seconds (females), 44 crunches in 2 minutes (male and female) and complete the 1.5-mile run in 13:30 (male) or 15 minutes (female) . It is recommended that all recruits report to training with scores well above the minimum standards.
