Social Sciences DivisionThe Social Sciences Division includes the departments of behavioral sciences and leadership, economics and geosciences, law, management, and political sciences.

BEHAVIORAL SCIENCES AND LEADERSHIP
The Department of Behavioral Sciences and Leadership offers three major curriculum options focused on varying aspects of human behavior and provides primary support for one curriculum option in systems engineering. The department also supports the Dean of the Faculty, the 34th Training Wing, the Academy and other Department of Defense agencies in areas of leadership training and development, work climate assessment and military training. ECONOMICS AND GEOSCIENCES
The Department of Economics and Geosciences is responsible for developing and administering three different academic programs: economics, geospatial science and meteorology. Students in the economics and geosciences majors can expect plenty of individual contact time with instructors and an environment that fosters open thinking and intellectual stimulation. LAW
The Department of Law administers a wide variety of programs to ensure graduates depart the Academy with fundamental knowledge of the law and the ability to apply that knowledge to the unique tasks and challenges of the military profession. The legal studies major develops in cadets the analytical skills that will allow them to identify, understand and resolve complex legal issues that they will likely encounter after they graduate. MANAGEMENT
Management Department majors equip young officers with the skills needed to manage and lead in today's Air Force. The curriculum provides cadets with the ability to understand, analyze and improve any organization. POLITICAL SCIENCES
The Political Sciences Department develops officers who can think critically and understand and develop rigorous explanations of political phenomena; who understand and appreciate the political dynamics of the U.S. government, national security, foreign governments and the international system; who understand and appreciate the rich heritage of political thought and American place in that tradition; and who understand and can explain the sources and changing nature of various political and cultural traditions in the international system.
