Research institutes at the Air Force Academy include the Institute for Information Technology Applications and the Institute for National Security Studies.
INSTITUTE FOR INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY APPLICATIONS
The IITA conducts information technology application research for the Department of Defense, the Air Force and the U.S. Air Force Academy. It is closely partnered with the military and civilian research communities to deliver high-impact IT applications, ensuring information superiority for current and future generations. INSTITUTE FOR NATIONAL SECURITY STUDIES
The INSS promotes national security research within the military academic community for the DOD and supports the Air Force national security education program. It sponsors research into areas including arms control, national security affairs, Air Force policy, regional studies, information operations and environmental security.
