You know how your car needs maintenance to keep it running safe and reliable over it's full life? And, if you don't perform certain maintenance, the car can break down and even stop working well before it should?

The US Navy submarines need that same type of maintenance over their life to keep them running safe and reliable too. Submarine Maintenance Engineering, Planning and Procurement (SUBMEPP) engineers are continuously looking at this maintenance to provide optimal safety and lowest cost to our government. SUBMEPP engineers work very hard keeping maintenance to a minimum while being absolutely sure the submarines are safe.
