U.S. Africa Command's J2 Directorate is committed to providing the most accurate, detailed, relevant information and knowledge to our Command.  Our team (including J2-Molesworth, J2-Tampa, and J2-Washington DC) are comprised of dedicated, customer-focused individuals who provide services and products to help ensure a more stable and secure African environment in support of U.S. foreign policy.

Mission

U.S. Africa Command's J2 Directorate, in concert with other U.S. Government agencies and international partners, executes intelligence operations; and manages intelligence collection, analysis, production, dissemination, and knowledge development for HQ Africa Command, its components and designated partners in order to enhance the planning and conduct of operations and sustained security engagement activities to promote a stable and secure African environment in support of U.S. foreign policy.

Vision

The J2 Directorate is the premier center of excellence for products and services used to mitigate common threats, provide for security and reinforce the rule of law on the African Continent.  It achieves the highest level of information awareness through dynamic knowledge dominance and global partnerships in support of current and future operational and engagement activities.
