G-3/G-5 Operations and Planning

The mission of the G-3 / G-5 Operations and Planning sections are to represent U.S. Marine Corps capabilities and interest and advises the Commander of U.S. Strategic Command on proper employment and support of U.S. Marine Corps Forces. During planning and execution informs the Commander of U.S. Strategic Command of changes in logistic support that would significantly affect operational capabilities or sustaining the mission. Assist in developing operation exercise plans and provide necessary force data to support all assigned missions. Assist in conducting deliberate or crisis action planning. Assist the Commander of U.S. Strategic Command in developing operation and exercise plans and provide the necessary force data to support all assigned missions.
